The emerald coast culture is one based on a mutual love for automotive performance and creating memories with family. Many of our partners are exceptionally generous with their time and efforts in order to create a better community. One of our company friends at Florida Product Design (FPD Engineering) stated that the new years is the best opportunity to spend time with friends, family and gives us an opportunity to reflect and grow.
FPD is and engineering firm located with multiple offices throughout Florida including the emerald coast. They put on a New Years eve bash that we think would rival some of the best in the state. The party was exclusively for their clients. When I had an invention idea for a drip pan solution they engineered, prototyped and even helped me establish manufacturing. They had a very unique approach that minimized the design cycle and helped us push the drip pan to the market faster than we could have imagined.
As I’m rambling on I want to thank my son Erik, Christine my wife and all of our friends for making 2015 an absolute joy. We would not be here without the help and support for family and friends. So that being said every one lift your imaginary drink glass and let’s cheers to a new years. Let 2016 bring in another great year filled with love, success, and happiness. Also, Let’s focus on on getting all those non running project cars going. I know I have a project that has been way to long in the making. 2016 will be the year the turbo rumble bee mustang runs!
Well what an event we had last Friday. Last Friday was the annual November tuner streetcar cruise through the beautiful scenic views of Emerald coast. The energy was absolutely incredible as tuner cars came from all over Florida Alabama and Georgia. There were approximately 500 streetcars and racecars that had shown up.
I would like to thank fierce controllers for their generous sponsorship of the race event. Here’s controllers is a manufacturer who makes some of the best manual boost controllers we have seen, More Info. They are highly engineered and feature top-notch components including ceramic balls, 6061 aircraft aluminum bodies, any unique friction lock system. In fact, three of the five fastest cars were running a boost controller from them.
Sometimes we I come across a car build that is beyond insane. Though I consider myself a gearhead I would be terrified to drive this particular car. It is a Factory Five cobra replica. For those of you unfamiliar with factory five they manufacture kit cars based on a single car doner model. Basically you buy their kit, find a fox body mustang and merge the two together. The big difference in performance comes to the very light car. The MK4 roadster is just over 2100 lbs. Can we say go cart like response?
What happens when a mad man builds one of these kit cars. Well, let me introduce you to Jeff Barfield and his version of the ultimate street car.
Car shows, clubs, cruising, racing, oh yeah and beautiful beaches. Can there be anything better than the car culture on the emerald coast? I think not. We want to pay special attention to the local corvette club.

I guys and girls.Thank you for visiting our automotive club webpage. This club features cars that are in the Emerald Coast region of Florida. First let me tell you a little bit about this beautiful region in Florida. The Emerald Coast is the coastal area of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico that stretches through five different counties. It runs from Pensacola to Panama City. This region has some of the most beautiful beaches and year-round sunny weather. The original marketing terms called the playground of the Gulf Coast and is car nuts we see this marketing term incredibly accurate. This area has a very rich history of automotive excellence in builds, car shows, and venues. This area is home to several military bases including the naval air station Pensacola(home of the Navy’s blue Angels) Hulburt Field, Tyndall (home of the F-22). So as you can see this area is naturally a magnet for gearhead and car enthusiasts.
